all lovey dovey

We felt very loved this Valentine's Day.

We began the day by feasting on candy in bed and opening our cards to each other.

I got a surprise package from my Maren, which was wonderful and so very sweet of her.  The package included Henry's mustache treat below.

My Matthew got me these lovely flowers.

I ate two of these cupcakes from the neighbors.  (Matt doesn't really like cake...  It's my duty.)

This was funny to me, being a child of the 90's, of course...  Henry wanted to write 'Daddy' on the envelope, but when his first 'D' turned out to look more like a 'P', he just kept writing.  So, of course, I call Matthew 'P Daddy' from time to time.

The best part of Valentine's day was when it was time for Matthew to put Henry to bed.  They made up a new game.  They took turns telling each other 5 reasons that they loved the other.  You can imagine my heart melting as I was listening from the other room.

I do love my boys.

so this is christmas

We just returned from a wonderful Christmas weekend at my parents' house.  Only my older sister and her family were missing, and I say only, but they do leave a big hole when they're not there.

We did try to take lots of pictures, so lucky you!

...

As always, Henry loves any time he can get with "Other One Grandma" and "Grandpa Buddy".

I just love his cute little fingers.  I love how they still have a little bit of baby pudge on them.

Funny Grandpa Buddy.

My older brother, Boyd, being nice and laughing at my jokes.

Matt and my sister-in-law, Lindsay, having an onion-chopping contest.  Lindsay is smiling because she's going to win.  ;)

Boyd and his adorable daughter, Edie, checking out the tree.

Aunt Michelle and Uncle Brent made ginger bears with Henry on Christmas Eve.

High-fives for Brent!

My little brother, Daniel and his wife, Sarah, helping Henry beat some levels on Angry Birds Star Wars, his new OBSESSION.

Ginger bear, waiting for Santa.  Daniel Santa ate it right up as soon as Henry went to bed!

Christmas morning.

And Santa came through...  With the Angry Birds Star Wars toys that Henry asked for.  ;)

We had a great weekend.  We felt really spoiled and very blessed.  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday as well!
