Firsts

On Saturday, we went to the Children's Museum in Everett. Can't you tell that the boys are simply going wild with anticipation as they ride in the car on the way?

No, it was our first trip to the Museum, so they had no idea what they were in for. Henry LOVED it. For the first five minutes, he just walked around squealing in delight. Among the items that received loving kisses from Henry were the large stuffed horse, the toy cash register, the reading bench, the peg board in the glow room, and the stuffed animals in the tree house. The stuffed life-sized lamb received kisses and a big hug around the neck. It's a miracle that Henry didn't come away from there with mono. Needless to say, we bought an annual pass. That place is AMAZING.

Another first this weekend:

Matt baked cookies. Here he is with the extra dough to be frozen. They turned out very yummy. Matt actually cooks more than I do and is a better cook than I am but the baking is usually in my domain. (Well, mine and the breadmaker's.) Matt was feeling adventurous this weekend.

Don't ask me about the mustache. I have no idea. Part of the adventurous-ness, I suppose. That happened while Henry and I were away at the museum.

Oh, and we're painting our cabinets. Hence the lack of doors.

The Children's Museum!!! Oh, I'm jealous. There was one in Portland when I was little, and I went to so many birthday parties there. There was a miniature grocery store with plastic groceries and kid-size carts, and a weird darkroom where you stood against a wall and a bright light would flash, temporarily burning your silhouette into the wall. Of course, EVERYONE pretended to pick their nose before the light flashed! I love children's museums as much as any kid--I'll have to go find one around here now!

Oh, and I LOVE the moustache. So debonair. He needs a bowtie to really round out the look!

Look at those cute boys! When are we going back!? It WAS great. Next time, we're taking Shawn and Matt so we can trade off on the chasing around though ;)

Looks like Matt got into the chocolate chips whilst baking, there's a smudge over his lip there.....

Oh, just noticed another pedophile comment, that's what 4 people now? The public has spoken Matt......

Taylor & his brothers like to grow mustaches for special family events--like weddings, family reunions, missionaries returning. It's weird, I know--but they're kind of weird. I've only conceded as long as it is a goatee until the day before. I just can't do 'staches for much longer than a day or two.
