We did something pretty fun on Labor Day. It involved Henry's new 'big boy bed'. And, because it's me, it also involved painting and re-decorating. It's not totally done, so the perfectionist in me won't post any pictures of the whole room until it is done. So, stay tuned, I guess.
These are Henry's new sparkle lights. He loves them. He wants to keep them on all night. And we let him keep them on all night for the first two nights, but tonight we unplugged them before we left. He cried.
He not only loves his lights, but he loves his bed and his 'new' room. He's had no problem transitioning out of his crib. Which makes me a little sad. He's turning 3 in a few days. As usual, it's all going by too quickly.

Camryn's room in our apartment is the size of a closet, so we're puzzling over how to fit her soon-to-be-purchased big-girl bed in there with the soon-to-be-little-sister's crib. It's a puzzling venture, to be sure! You have NO IDEA how much I long to paint a little-girl bedroom. I've picked out the colors in my mind...now, to buy the house that holds this imaginary room! (Uh, how much is that house down the street? Any engineering jobs nearby?) I can't wait to see Henry's grown-up room! Especially the twinkle lights--I always had a string of them in my room growing up. They lend any room a tangible magic!
Your blog is so fun! I'm so sorry about your foot. Congrats on a new job (I'm a little behind on reading). Your new classes look smart.
So? SOOOO? I'm dying to see the room transformation! Where IS it?!? I love seeing other people's decorating ideas--they help me store up ideas of my own when my time comes to own a house. There's just something WRONG with decorating a suburban apartment bedroom to the nines (especially when a third of it is eaten up by the washer/dryer closet)!
