a friday is a friday

What a week.

I stayed home sick for three days. And I slipped and fell in the mud yesterday, which means my right hip has been killing me all day. However, just after I fell, Matt came home with flowers and a 36 pack of diet dr pepper. My hero.

Henry wouldn't sleep, but we think we have that one figured out for now. He just needed a more gradual bedtime process with us coming back to check in on him. And he needed us to leave the door open. Thank you so much for all your comments.

Work was crazy today. We recently acquired a smaller firm and so our work load has tripled. Don't ask me how that math worked out. But, my assistant and I buckled down and got a good amount of work done today. And hopefully a new client.

I guess life is life and it just keeps going. But, really, there's more good here than bad.

Something I have to tell myself ALL THE TIME as a parent (and just in general) is "A bad day isn't a bad life." Even though sometimes it feels like it is. Especially when your kids are in some wretched stage you can't figure out. Ugh!!! And there is something so humiliating and humbling about falling down. I totally feel your pain.

And just so you know, I got a D--A D, JULIE!!!--in my Humanities of Islam course at BYU. The worst grade I've ever gotten. I had a wonderful "Come to Jesus" meeting with my mother over the phone when that semester ended. Yikes. :)

Sorry you were sick. Cute hair though! When did you get that cut?
