Miss Charlotte B went in for her ten month checkup this morning. She checked in at her usual physical stats: 55th percentile for height and weight, with a 95th percentile for head size. Also as usual, her shots were much more traumatic for Henry than they were for her. She has a cold, but of course, hasn't been complaining about it to us at all.
She is quite advanced with her fine motor skills, but quite behind with her gross motor skills. She's not crawling yet, only scooting. If she's not pulling herself up to stand by her one year appointment, the doctor will recommend occupational therapy. I'm not sure if we'll actually make her go, should it come to that. It doesn't surprise me at all that she's behind in that department. We just need to put her down every once in a while, and she'll catch on.
We hold her way too much. And if she is ever on the floor, Henry is at her beck and call. He will immediately bring her any toys she shows interest in. She is the quintessential baby of the family, and probably a little bit spoiled. Her personality contains the lethal combination of being focused and determined to get what she wants along with being incredibly and irresistibly charming.
So. We are in trouble.
So. We are in trouble.
Here she is on her ten-month birthday with her cousin Edie.
